Old School Hero
Some time ago I picked up this bike very cheap. Seller didn't know much about The history of it. Google doesn't help much either.

Anyway, it is a nice frame with Ritchey Logic Prestige Tuning, a Tange Ultralight fork and it was comoletely kitted with XTR M900 parts (hubs, cranks, BB, brake, shifters, headset etc.) The slightly ovalized seat tube is interesting.

There is a serial number that might indicate it is from 93, could that be?
Any ideas who built the frame?

Research Dynamics Coyote Team Five. 1993 would be a good call on the year given the groupset.

Manufactured by Dodsun in Taiwan I believe (even though the sticker says made in Japan) for Research Dynamics, a small private bicycle marque. Sold through a chain of outdoor stores in the Idaho/Utah area from the late 80's to at least the mid 90's. Research Dynamics (RD) Ski Co. was based out of Sun Valley. They also sold skis under the Coyote brand name (ties with Elan to manufacture their skis).

Dodsun was a complete bike manufacturer. They were the first ISO 9001 certified bike factory in Taiwan, even before Giant if my research is correct.
