And a worthy winner - I think any machine that has all original parts should come out on top.
Mine's relatively period correct, but still an assembled hotch potch.

I don't think anything pre 1970 AND not Italian has ever one. (Spokesman's '75 Carlton comes closest)

This is surprising to me, since there are so many great English bikes from the 40s and 50s. Bagpuss' Hetchins from October/November of 2012 seems to be the only one…..

Yes, I always expect to see more classic british lightweights in the running. But, I totally missed that one. Rather nice. And it beat off some stiff Italian competition. Everyone does go mad for a Hetchins!

I actually voted for the Gazelle believe it or not!

Thanks for the votes guys.

Nice to see my neither Italian nor British Gazelle doing well.
I actually voted for the Raleigh/AX group. So in a way I'm a winner too.
The Rotrax was a close second choice though.

Well done Ian, but it was a close one.

You all seem to have forgot that a 1975 Raleigh won last month.

American / Canadian and an 7 page build thread including the epic hunt and shipping marathon...just sayin' ;-)

Congrats to Ian :)
