1983 Colnago Superissimo in original Giro d'Italia pink. It's a parts bin special and a mix of 10 speed Dura-Ace 7800 mechs, 7900 cassette, indexed Dura-Ace 7900 downtube shifters, a C Record crankset running on a Campy Pista bottom bracket with 10 speed EPS pinned rings , Chorus gen2 monoplainer brakes being pulled by Shimano SLR levers, Headset is Campy Record, the seatpost is Campy aero Record, the stem is Cinelli XA, the bars are 3TTT Superleggero Giamondi bend, hubs are Suzue Classica, clamped by alloy Mavic Helium skewers, rims are Mavic Open Pro, the tires are 25mm Vittoria Corsa, the saddle is a Ideale titanium rail 90. Weight as shown is under 22 Lbs.
So why do I reach for this bike most often and not the four others. The bike is telepathic and becomes a part of me, I don't have to think the bike is one step ahead of me all the time. It's fast, its comfortable, it punches above it weight.
It is the best bicycle I have ever built and its a junk yard dog (In a very good way). One last thing... The Lady's Love It.
