RBotM February 2018 - Winter project month - now closed!

Here we are in February and already half way through the month, my apologies for the lateness on this. So for this month or what is left of it, it is a quick theme month.
The theme being - Winter Projects -
The projects should be from this winter, so photos with a date stamp of previous winters may well be called out
They can be full builds, partial builds, photos of even refurbished parts in front of the build they are intended for, frames on workstands, that type of thing.
The builds should be clearly seen as a winter project, fitting new brake blocks to an already established build is not really a project so entries should be within the spirit of the comp.
It does need to have the build in it as it is a RBotM not a pic of the month, though saying that, this is one month where the photographic skills of the poster may have more than the usual influence.
It's a quick one with not much time but I have seen on here and members posting on other groups quite a few projects going on so it should be a good one.

One entry per member, two photos, a brief description and if there's a build thread then please link it, if not then please think about a build thread. Everybody always wants more information

Thought I'd enter. I have been following the Pug and the Raleigh with huge interest already so good luck to you guys...I'll still follow your threads if you win

Here's my frame built by Ron Cooper in 1952 (he would have been 20 years young working at Gillott's in London). I chose to build with modern components as the bike was to be (and is currently enjoying being) my regular daily ride. Part of the brief I gave myself was to try and keep a vintage look as much as possible which proved to be interesting in terms of part selection / sourcing. The build included a 27 1/4" (630BSD) wheel build with 'throw back to old' soldered spoke ties. Cold setting and realignment of the back end with wooden plank and swearing plus a few other interesting challenges along the way made for a really interesting project. I also tried to do the bike on a budget. I think I could have done better in that regard especially if I had bought some wheels pre-built rather than building them myself. However this turned out (EVENTUALLY - after more cursing) to be one of the more enjoyable aspects of the build with a new found skill for future builds. On a side note...I hang my bike on the wall inside the apartment and of all the things I do do. (Each day as I pass it.) is look closely and touch the ties on the spokes. I do accept this form of bike porn and fondling is inappropriate...but it's so good.

It is also an absolute pleasure to ride.

And that Peugeot is exactly what the spirit of it is, you've been building it up and progressing through the winter, nobody said it had to be finished

Here's my whopping 26 inch 1976 condor (probably an Italia).

I finished building it end of November (that's winter, isn't it?).

It had previously been owned from new and modified with cheap heavy parts as time wore on. It had also been powder coated.

My plan was to build it up cheaply and use it as a winter commuter but once it became obvious it needed a paint job...

1983 Colnago Arabesque 30th Anniversary model, with full 30th Anniversary groupset. I found this frameset in Singapore about 18 months ago. It came with a box of parts, some of which were C-Record. I was lucky enough to source the missing 30th. Anniversary groupset parts over time, including some NOS items but drew a blank on the crank caps. The ones fitted are replicas produced by Chris at CycloRetro here in Australia - and yes the inset clubs are actually cut from sheet gold (18k). As always with a detailed build there is always one thing that just stays out of your reach until you can finally claim it as finished. In this case it was the ALE Colnago bottle and cage found in NOS condition (including box) in the back blocks of Italy.

Its now done at 200km since the restoration including last months Colnago Masters ride in Melbourne.
