Don't want to piss on your bonfire Dr S but this rear mech, gorgeous as it is, won't index.

I've had a couple of production variants of these on road bikes and it's without doubt the best non-indexed rear mech, ever made. But even bodging won't make it index.

Still have an SSC road transmission waiting for a frame come to think of it...

If you fit the old Mavic rear mechs with the adjustor from a Shimano mech it will index up to 6 speeds. That's how I ran mine for years.

I've got a modded rear mech which did exactly this. It won't index cleanly on a 7speed rear cluster though.
