Yes, it is very nice and of course very rare. Just because it is rare doesn't make it worth loads of money. It is only worth as much as the highest bidder is willing to pay.
 
i am curious about the carbon parts, the chainring looks like somekind of sticker? but what is the bar made of? alloy then wrapped?

No. Gold plated parts & carbon wasn't cheap back then. Hence why they made only 5.

They should have spent the money on getting a pro team set up back then and not making this bike

that's not the same bike - well it's the same bike just a different year!

the wishbone stays are, as far as i can determine, 1990 model year (avail 89)

the one in the catalogue is an '88 (as my courier)

maybe DrC can enlighten us further

Yep, sorry, I didn't notice the stays :LOL:

So they did these silly expensive bikes with gold bits for more than 1 year :shock:

They must have sold some to start with then otherwise surely they would have pulled the plug on the idea :?
