Raleigh Titanium bull bars from duo tech framset??

This is the only pic of them I can find viewtopic.php?t=91636&start=405 p41 if it just links to the whole thread. They look the same as yours so I reckon they'd be worth a decent amount if they are the same and Ti. While Raleigh Ti frames don't go for too much the bars would look fantastic on any make of frame. Fingers crossed they're Ti!

Take the end plugs out and check the wall thickness of the metal - Ti is going to be thinner walled than alu. I also do a tap test, tapping the bar hard with my fingernail, and compare against the same test on an alu bar.

Edit: just checked the photo and the shim on the bar clearly marks it out as a Raleigh Ti bar.

If I remember correctly, Raleigh used commercially pure Ti for their bars, which were not as strong as the aerospace grade Ti alloys. Still probably much stronger than your average alu bar, though, ans way cooler looking!

I'd concur that about a tenner plus postage would be in the right ballpark for one of these. Let me also declare I'd also be possibly interested in buying this bar :)

narrowed them down as 1993 mtrax 600 framset bars. The Raleigh gallery has the 93 cat' listIng them as titanium bullhorns.
