Raleigh rsp 200?.....Cleveland

Well done!

I swapped messages with the seller early on, in an effort to identify the frame. The best I could manage was that it was not a Reynolds 853 frame (which is what I'm after). I also asked him not to skip it, which he was at one point going to do!

When you get it, contact bikemeister2000, as I understand it he used to be the production manager at RSP, so there's not a lot he does not know.

There is also some good info in the Retrobike archive.

Enjoy your RSP.

Thanks for that, will hopefully collect it this weekend. It will be my first attempt at restoring a bike back to its former glory!! Really like the old Raleigh's especially the dynatechs and titanium frames.

Had an encounter about 20 years ago and loved it!

I have only recently come across RSP, in the form of an 853 frame, and I was really impressed.

I could be a mile out, as the photo the chap put up was terrible, but you may be in for a very pleasant surprise.

Please take some before and after photo's and keep us posted, I would be VERY interested to know what that bike is.

So.......

I have collected the bike this morning, and it appears to be an M-Trax of some description.

It has STX front and back, but its not titanium. Never mind, for £30 its well worth it.

Pics to follow!!

Only just seen this thread, def not an RSP as you've said. The head tube badge will give you the clue as I'm pretty sure the M-Trax bikes had a normal Raleigh badge while the RSP's had a different one. As said before contact bikemiester2000 and he'll sort you out.

In my opinion the 1999 RSP line up is one of the most underated groups of bikes ever.

Pics as promised!

Pics too small

M-Trax 200 was £430 in 1997. Lots of decent Alivio/STX bits on it.

Yeah, very happy with it. Looking at the shimano catalogue the stxrc was first produced in 1999 so it may be an mtrax 200 1999.

Not much info to be found on Google though.
