Raleigh Royal vs Randonneur later '80s early '90s

The inside leg thing is often misrecorded.

"2. Wearing thin pants and in bare feet (NO SHOES) and WITH YOUR FEET AB0UT 11 INCHES APART, grab the ruler fore-and-aft and pull up until you're pushing hard against bone. Not skin, not flesh, but BONE.

You'll never pull past the bone, so you can't get a reading that's too high. If you do this 100 times, take the highest measurement. If you do it once correctly, that's all we need. In nine cases out of ten, when a customer shows up in person after having measured their PBH at home, we measure it again according to points 1 & 2 above, and it's two to three centimenters more. Up to an inch. Seriously, press against BONE."

what size tourer. would be good for some one with a 32-33 inside leg, 6foot on the nose. ALWAYS had atb or mtb, never had a tourer, but have a hankering for a Randonneur or a Dyna-tech Tourlite. i see they both hold there money well, which is a good sign. fancy doing some bike packing, before i get to old. i did look at a pioneer trail in 501, that could be an option, or the pioneer elite in 4130. the gemini 531, or dynatcech xc50, xct60 or x80, so somthing hybrid or road specific. away the mtb and heavy traill
Hi, I've got a Raleigh Royal for sale at the moment on this very forum :) I have a 33 inch inside leg and the bike is set up for me at 76cm from the BB to the top of the seat, if it's helpful to gauge size. Mine's a 23.5 inch/60cm.
