Hi folks,
I picked this bike up at a local sale at the weekend with the intention of stripping it for parts. When I got it home and gave it a clean and put some air in the tyres it was in such original condition that its seems a shame to ruin what is a nice retro mountain bike...
It is a Raleigh Mirage, 1990 I think, hand made with Reynolds 501 tubing and as far as I can tell it is in pretty original spec including all the Shimano LX kit that these bikes came with. It even has the Raleigh sticker on the seat tube.
I have done nothing to it other than wash it , the gears and brakes work but not very well, there is some wear to the saddle and the pedals. It is not immaculate but the paintwork is good and overall it is in pretty good shape.
Is anyone on here interested at £80 collected. Happy to help with courier if required.
Sorry I should have said that it is 51cm bb centre to top of seat tube.
