Yes it's the gas pipe 18-23 one lol.
Reliving my teens with this one that I spotted reasonably local and all original for £30 albeit with no wheels.
Under the years of muck it's in remarkably good condition and now it's polished it shines nicely.
I think I've sourced a set of suitable wheels although I'll have to cold set the rear to 130.
Swapped the safety levers out for Weinmans and popped a lighter chainset and indexed rear mech on.
All the original parts are stored in excellent condition.
More pics when I've got some wheels.

Re: Team Banana

Hi!

That's a GREAT looking old Raleigh Banana bike! I recently rode a steel Raleigh and although it was heavy it was strong and was surprisingly quick. I now have an Aluminium/Carbon road bike and although it's half of the weight of the Raleigh, I'm only improving my 17 mile commute time by a couple of minutes!

I look forward to seeing the finished bike.

Craig

Re:

I've just had to order a different rear mech as the old 600 one was having a really hard time coping with the 30 tooth top 8 speed cassette, should be done by midweek.
