quality street - I'm down to those green triangles

I associate poppets with Saturday morning pictures in the cinema in the village.

if Brussels had their way they wouldn't be allowed to call them chocolates, and they know a thing or two about chocolates the Belgians, just saying like.......

Melt them down with at least 3 of the fudge ones and a little water. Makes for a cheap and very cheerful sauce for a bit of cake.

Just noticed

the purple ones.

You mean the dogs chocolate, if the dog is out the bin gets them.

As lgf says chocolate is poison to dogs and they must never ever be allowed it.
Google this to confirm if you are unsure. Not good not good at all

Re:

Haven't touched a QS for ages despite being offered them non stop for the past month or so in the various offices I've been working in. If I'm going to eat rubbish it's got to be good quality rubbish, i.e. Fruit & Nut (or just Whole Nut)

I'm not sure why they bother with the pink ones or those revolting orange things that taste like recycled bile, the purple and green are definitely the least bad. As I got past my teens I began to realise that the various toffee QS actually aren't too bad and are always available, no matter what else is gone.

Anyway, they all pale into insignificance compared to the utterly bland, unbearably sugary homogenous horror of "celebrations"...

Mars should be done under the Trades Descriptions Act,Celebrations? They should be called Commiserations.Insipid shite in a tin.The Mr Roth Aldi choc aint bad though.....

Payne's Poppets have slightly unsavoury associations for me these days, thanks to Roger's Profanisaurus....
