I often find myself staring, gobsmacked at someone’s build, wondering what on earth these guys do as a day job.. you know.. when they’re not knocking up perfect C-26 replicas from original tube sets they just happen to have lying around, or teaching themselves to reproduce meticulous Klein fades in their garden shed.Have a Bump on me as @BlackCat your comments (made me laugh out loud) and are so true yet often hidden on forums were technical nous and mechanical empathy / ability are only 1/2 the story.

Technical skills - and lists of personal contacts here (“I’ll just get Frank to weld me a new stem for my Ultimate”) frequently leave me in awe.
