I'm the same as you, I have proflex as a search in E bay.. it must've passed me by as well!
there's an 856 on the bay at the mo and that's up to £160 last I looked.. this was an 857 expert remember.. ok, not a minter by any standards, but there's enough savvy people about who know what they're looking at..

Definitely some journalistic licence going on with it.. imo.. :roll:

i just checked completed sales..no profles of any kind sold for 49 quid uptil the beginning of july so unless he bought it before then yes i agree ..journolistic licence has been used

That 856 is nice, I like that ti colour they did, although not so instantly recognisable to the untrained eye as the red ones.
He's got the rite shock upgrades on it aswell! Did gave a slight hope when I saw it at 99p then that soon went

Lots of Proflex's still going strong on here and the idriders Proflex forum, got my 857 complete from eBay, think I just dropped lucky.
You'll have to post up some pics in the Readers Rides section.

Ive got a thing for keeping bikes close to factory spec as poss
