I've made 3 of different lengths of elastomer and some plastic washers for preload adjustment. The bike is quite a bit further on than in the last photo so just a bit more fettling before I can test it out.
If I like it then I can see it getting some serious TLC in the paintwork department, if I hate it then I'm going to strip it and use the bits for something a bit more conventional.
Stick around and keep us up to date with your progress, would be happy to help out with elastomers as long as they work ok.

I'm the owner of a RF-1 model, maybe the last one ;-)
Now it's under restoration and maybe i'll send to be repainted. This summer i made and attempt to let it functioning... and yes, I did it.
I used the bushes from a Cane Creek seatpost. They are cheap, good and they have the same blue colour from the originals of first series of proflex.
They didn't fit very well, they were a little larger, and they has a little less diameter from originals, but after some work on them they fitted perfectly.
Some of the plastic items that separate the bushes were from the original frame and some others from a 550 frame that i bought in April. Those items aren't strictely needed, but the original frame wore them.

If any of you proflex fans are interested in a bike and shipping it from Canada there is one for sale on Craiglist locally - asking $150 CDN. Red & silver with a Rock Shock Quad on the front (I think).
