PROFLEX 962 ...... Hope disc Mavics XT

Here's Harrys beast, and what a prime specimen it looks too.

I don't think it's a £600'er but it has to be worth more than any normal run-of-the-mill Proflex.

Top notch, just wish I could actually spare that amount of cash for it. I'm a tad short of that figure

Having looked at XYZ and taking into account everyone's very helpful opinions........£400. Did I mention it has anodised nipples?!

I've got the rest of the pictures come through :D

So tempted, just need those frame measurements from you to see if it's the right size.

That's not a 962, a 962 is a 92 frame that frame is earlier, 90-91 maybe ?, definetely not a 92 though, stickers on the top tube are not original.

Dont take this as criticism Harry, it's a very nice example, just not a 962, 950 maybe ? (the last number on the Proflex model indicates year so a 1990 would end in 0)

Pretty sure frame size is 16", Proflex's are measured centre to centre so are big for their size.

£400 is a bit more realistic GLWTS ;)

wink:

None taken. The plot thickens.

Thanks to all who have pm'd me.

Seems to be a concensus that the bike could have been a prototype or limited edition for the race team.......this is the opinion of the RB afficionados and not little old me.

I now fully expect someone to say...."No, it's a Carrera from Halfords!!"

PS......it's still for sale.
