looks good. love these proflex's!!! i'm doing the same thing. rebuilding one with a more modern drivetrain. 9 speed. taking me forever to complete. i should probably shoot some pictures as is for viewing. more when it's done.

Nice shade of orange there! Those modern parts do look right at home there on the bike, to me at least. Modern parts, Period correct parts.....just do what fancies you and ultimately - Enjoy your ride!

I think the 857 frameset is well worthy of hanging newer components on, I'm not a fan of orange (reminds me of the asbo orange Focus ST ) but together with the black & carbon it does look good. Is it the Noleen shock on the rear still?

Your rear shock is different to mine, but then who's to say mine is right.
Mine has no remote resevior on it.
