6 weeks!!!!!

He had better be good!!! ;)

it was just after xmas break and he had lots of orders coming in and was short staffed .

might be quicker now .

he does all the work for Roberts .

Really nice fella by the sounds of it, he asked what frame, I said '95 Kona blah blah and he went "oooohhhhh" :)

Im not bothered on the wait, what started as a "Ill get some old bits together for a hack bike" has now developed into full-on restoration project (don't they all!!)

So far, I have bought

XT V's (old style)
LX V-brake levers
Syncros stem (silver) AND an orginal velocity stem)
Tioga post
New chainring bolts
New pedals coming (onza caged)
Ritchey foam grips

Front and rear mechs (XT/LX) were in pristine nick (almost look brand new), the rims are still true with no play in the hubs (LX Parralax and XT on Mavic XXX rims)

She's gonna be a corker!!!

You won't be disappointed with colour-techs work. Had a DMR frame and forks done by them recently and it's a top job! Dave's a really dedicated guy who will ensure you leave happy. If you can take the frame down in person you'll be able to discuss colours and ideas and will no doubt he'll give a tour of the facilities while you're there too.
Had the frame painted, decals applied/clear coated, plus hose guides brazed all for 120....took him about 4 weeks but would have been half that if i wasn't waiting for decals and forks to arrive.

He does a lovely metallic finish btw ;)

Nice one, he does seem a pretty nice guy/genuinly interested as opposed to someone who is dismissive etc...

Can't wait to get it down there now!!! :D

Just out of curiosity, I typed "powder coaters", "Chichester" into www.yell.com and the Yellow Pages computer dug out a list of powder coaters near to me... so there's an idea if you're too far from the fella that Cheesey's using!

I'm in the process of getting my P2 forks powder coated for my '91 Cinder Cone, ben quoted £15 forks only for gloss black.

should be getting some correct '91 decals from gil, does anyone know if you can apply a clear coat lacquer over powder coat, or is it just over a standard paint?
