£40 to blast clean, prep and then powder coat, bit a of a bargain I reckon

Indeed. Take their hand off!

Absolutely!

Make sure you post up some pics when it's done, as not all powder coaters
are equal!

That's what I pay for frame & fork in Eastbourne, as above...

Just found a powder-coaster near me who will do F&F for£35. Good choice of colours and he says he's done plenty of bikes. Seems to know the issues around prep-ing bikes.

I'll probably try him out in a couple of weeks with my Cindercone. Worth a punt at that price.

The company I've found is in Corby...they were actually recommended to me by an industrial Powder coater I happen to do business with.

Local(ish) to me then. I use Banbury Powdercoaters, they do hundreds of frames a year too, and are really rather good..

I paid £50 for a strip and powder coat on a Marin quake with separate rear swing arm...It was bullet proof! When stones flung themselves against it it just shouted "cummmon is that the best ya got!" Well worth the money and the fun of the rebuild after!

Well, frame is now back from coaters and it looks to be a spot on job, for those interested I will post pictures and contact details later this evening if I have time...have to say it was £40 well spent :)

I only live 10 mins from Corby myself and am thinking of getting a frame done too... eager to see results and contact details.

Right, apologies for quality, decent camera has no battery so mobile phone camera it is for now. Prob doesn't show how nice a finish this really is:

The guy who did this works for a company called CP Coaters in Corby. He does the bike frames on the side. His name is Martin and you can call him on his mobile (which I have permission to post!):

07737 111 891

Have mentioned to him that I'll be posting this up and he was interested to hear from anyone looking to have their frames etc. done, top bloke cant recommend him enough.
