Retro Newbie
Hi guys first post but longtime lurker.

I picked up this Muddy Fox yesterday with the intention of restoring it. I thought it was a Courier at first but some of the frame details don’t look quite right. Help me!

Some vintage MF have the paw print stamped on parts of the frame. My 88 has.

Well to name a few differences, no embossed paw print at the top of the seat stays (this 1st appeared in 1987) seat tube lug isn't sculpted, seat stay bridge has an added boss, cable guides don't have a vertical slot, bottle bosses aren't a diamond shape.
The group set as a whole is wrong, these would/should be Suntour gears, Dia Compe brakes, Araya rims on Sansin hubs, Sugino chain set & a most of these would carry the Muddy Fox brand name.

IF it were touted as a MF Courier, there were other models.

But it reminds me more of a Falcon anyway.

I would like the tyres but hey ho!
