please can someone decode my GT STS serial number

Hey everyone, what can you make of this? it doesn't have the DH or anything on it so I'm a bit stumped, will post pics later but serial reads 099709787 N16

Sept 97 build date. It’ll be a 98 model year as this is when the headtube changed.

Could be a STS 1000, 1500 or anything as front triangle was the same. What shock has it got?
