Jeez, my poor auld legs are still knackered today. But what a great way to knacker them, must do this again.
The Kaaaaa with the one rear light is nothing. For the last week or so I've thought that the campervan's lights weren't too bright, didn't take time to investigate why. On way home realised they were more than just dim, they got progressively worse. Thinking that it was the alternator not charging the battery, I debated with myself whether to stop (they were feckin' really dim by this time) and call AA or "press on" at increased speed, cough cough, to get home before they expired. So went as fast as I could get it to go.
Well when I got home I was shocked at how bad they were from outside the 'van, switched off the engine and lights, tried to restart but nothing, nada, not even a click. Told my wife about it when she got in, she asked me if I'd checked which battery the 'van was using, the main or leisure, she checked switch and you've guessed it, that's what was wrong. Switched over and everything OK. I'd never even thought that was it.
That's the first time and probably will be the last time that she will have sussed out what was wrong with a mechanical device.
I'm like Tazio, I'm wondering how long it is till I get a MacRetro label?
Do I have to be able to keep up with you guys next time to get it?
