Isn't it welded internally like mbk used to do with the "inexternal" welding. It looks the same as my mbk montagne

this was the replica sold through catalogues etc, very basic spec in team colours, not very expensive at all but still cool imho

I used to have the older version of this when I was a lad. Mine was black with silver decals and rigid fork. IIRC they put the Ritchey logo on because the genuine team bikes were built by Ritchey. They then justified this on the cheap bikes by adding Ritchey True Grips...

Mine was fairly heavy Hi-Ten, but it was nicely made, with some nice detail around the seat tube/seat stay junction.

Mine was just like that. I don't even remember it having anything like Ritchey dropouts or headset just the [Fairly wobbly looking name] and the kraton grips. It was black with orange bits which would make it about 1991 , based on the photo's of Pugs with similar colours been ridden by Fred Salmon and Tim Gould in TG's "Mountain bike racing" book, pub. 1992.
I've been looking for pictures of mine and I can't find any, probably because this was in pre- digicam times and I hardly ever took any photo's.

Mangalloy (HLE) was together with Cromoly (CMO) a type of steel that Peugeot used for there low budget frames around 91/92. The more expensive frames of that period where made of Reynolds 531 steel.

Is there a sticker on the bottembracket. Maybe it has a VTT number?

Nice frame anyway!

I was doing Pedal for Scotland charity event last Sunday and saw exactly same bike. I thought that was you mate! Some guy with huge u-lock attached to frame and rack was acutally on sportive 110 mile route mainly for well fit roadies. Mental

This was a budget Activator type, as said before, from 91 or 92. I remember thinking it was much better looking than the Activator, and before I knew much about bikes, I liked them.
