Peugeot Perthus Pro 753

Retro Guru
Just wanted to share with you my first acquisition a Peugeot Perthus Pro.

It was collected yesterday morning and it was completely worth the 4hr 30mins round trip. The condition of the frame is poor with a many scratches and the forks are pitted but I am delighted overall with what is a fantastic bike that will give me stacks of enjoyment in both riding and tinkering.

I am unsure what the grand plan is but I expect to get it running smoothly as soon as possible, enjoy it over winter without worrying too much about keeping it spick and span then give the frame and forks due attention in spring.

Here is a link to my blog which will feature pictures, progress and musings...

And a pic of the bike...

Nice observations mate, the wheel was just thrown on to get it upright and has since been corrected and I didn't pay any attention to the chain until now as I have just replaced it to length of the old chain rode 300m up the road and got nothing but sag and slap on freewheel

The frame certainly needs some loving but we are getting there which hopefully can be seen in the latest pictures (New chain needing shortening).

Errrrrm!

Well today was a day of activity but perhaps in the wrong direction if my aim was to get this bike on the road as soon as possible.

I know have a box of components that have been removed with Chainset & Bars & Brake Levers soon to join the others.

I really am finding this Forum a really useful source of information and opinions, so thanks and keep it up.
