Peugeot Black Mamba

I bought one of these (in my size) when it was a few months old, long time ago now, still got it. Have toured on it, bombed down rock strewn tracks on dartmoor, the lot. Wil take any amount of hard use. Will carry luggage etc. Heavyweight Reynolds 531 internally fillet brazed, Peugeot had a fascinating construction method where they wedged shaped fillets of brass/bronze into the tubes before joining, heated for a set time, job done, lovely clean joins. IIRC fork is Tange steel. Rims very strong indeed, these days would be called downhill.
Id be fascinated to know what you good people think its worth. Less that it should be I suspect.

If it was a Roberts built frame it would be worth squillions - as its 'only' a Peugeot, the whole bike is worth double figures at the most.

I''ll be keeping mine a bit longer than
Old mtbs llike these are practical and sturdy enough for people to tour the world on.
Or just pop to the shops

because they come from a trad manufacturer, peugeot raleigh etc - uncool
kona, p-ringle, stinkyturd, advertising experts - they were cool
