Peugeot 80's headset

Hello! I have a Peugeot frame (PH-20/Mont Blanc) from 1987 that needs a new headset. Does anyone know what size and threads that I should look for?

Hi, I have one from an 80s Peugeot should you be interested. It is made of steel but the chrome finish was Excellent. Say £12 posted to UK.

I seem to remember reading somewhere [Sheldon Brown I think] that French bikes have different threads to the rest of the world.

Both my eighties Pugs used perfectly ordinary 1" standard threaded headsets. If you're in any doubt the best bet is always to take the bike, or at least the original part to your LBS. If you don't have vernier calipers and a thread gauge they probably will have.

Yes older French bikes used odd threads, but then so did Raleigh. Generally speaking the older the bike of any nationality the more likely you are to find uncommon sizes and threads.
