Period rims for 93" Colnago Master

Could anybody tell me what would have been a top of the range clincher rim that the continental Pro's would have used around 93 to 95.

I seem to recall Wolber or Campag Omegas being popular with my more affluent club mates at the time!

Would it have been Mavic SSC's then and if so what is a really good substantial training tub to use.

Super U & Castorama used Michelin Hi Lites which were clinchers, so I am guessing that the rims were clinchers as well. Think they were Wolbers, but that was around 1989 / 90.

He has done it once, because it was wet and wanted carbon wheels with alloy track, which only comes as clincher

How about Wolber profil? There are often sets on eBay... The tx and 20 are a bit comfyer than the extreme 18

I recently sold a load of '80's - '90's Colnago catalogues and all the high end bikes had Campagnolo rims fitted. Omega / stradas etc.
Take a look on www.velobase.com for exact years for a particular rim.
