Up until today I had only one concept of what a Banjo was, now I know it’s a thingamybob at the end of a hydraulic hose… oh and they’re out of stock in the U.K. (well at least I’ve given up looking) so roll on December as now I’m waiting on some from our Chinese cousins

Are they specific or generic?

Not sure, images on eBay look like they come in different sizes. I’ve ordered some olives from a U.K. supplier in case the banjos I have come off intact. All new to me but I don’t think it’s rocket science.

They are specific for certain brakes unfortunately, Hope different to Shimano, Shimano XT different to Deore (or at least they were last time I looked).

Bored waiting for my Shimano XT specific banjos as they work their way across 1000’s of miles (bloody crazy isn’t it?)
So I thought I’d finish off everything else, rear mech fitted exactly as per Shimano specifications, indexing dialled in perfectly, chain-length spot on, Jagwire LEX-SL colour matched gear cable outers for the mech & dropper post exactly lined up.



A colour matched 90’s Elite bottle cage of course!
