I’m in the process of rebuilding a 2016 Genesis Core 24” mountain bike for my son I recently picked up. It was barely ridden so in great shape but wanted to upgrade it to air forks and a 1x10 groupset, as such, I have some spare parts.
(Pic of the same model bike they came from, a quality child’s bike, not cheap junk).
Great for another child’s bike build or for the smaller rider:
SOLD Suntour XCR 011Series coil suspension forks.
24” wheel soecific
Disc tabs. But also with blanked off V brake mounts if needed.
420mm axel to crown height.
195mm threadless 1 1:8” steerer tube.
Stripped, cleaned and re greased.
£30 plus post.
Groupset-
3x8
Shimano HG drilled 11-30tooth cassette (&dork disc)
Suntour XCT Junior 152mm chainset with 42/32/22 rings (all three are removable, middle and grannie are fixed together).
110bcd.
PRM sealed bearing bottom bracket to match the chainset.
68mm shell.
Nice and smooth.
Shimano SL-M360 3x8 shifter units.
Shimano Acera rear mech with very good jockeys.
Shimano FD-M190A front mech.
(Suitable for bottom or top pull).
31.8 Seatpost using fixed shims or 34.9 without.
I’ll include the chain as not worn, I’ve cleaned it. Needs a new fitting pin or shimano super link.
£40 plus post.
