As standard they come with adaptor washers that position the brake mounts further away from the forks:

Here's a link to some - http://www.selectbikes.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=68

Any shop that sells Maguras should have spares too. Your best bet is finding somewhere that sells stuff for trials riders, as they all use Maguras.

Pics?

I've had Maguras on 5 bikes over the years, and never had a problem with any.

What brace do the Paces have - CNC or the older tube one? Could it be a problem with the little legs on the mounts not clearing the brace properly?

will get some when i strip it down again.

basically the long pieces that look like spikes on the maguras, touch as soon as you slide them onto the bosses.......this pushes the caliper out and you cant bolt it on without the wheel jamming against the pads.

Yup - this is a problem with the old style Magura mounts. They have a 'leg' on the back that braces against the inside of the fork brace or seatstay. Works ok, but if the brace is on the small side (as the older Pace ones are) then it pushes the brakes in towards the rim.

Magura solve this problem with the new EVO II brake mounts. They brace against a metal booster that mounts behind the brakes, not the frame:

You could buy the EVO II mounting gear, and it should fit your older Magura HS33s, as the cylinders haven't changed in design or size in years, just the mounts.

Glad this thread has turned up as I'm about to try to mount some H33S Racelines to my RC35's. Are the replacement mounts the only way to go?

think so mate yeah, the long pointed parts on the maguras simply get in the way of the fork brace.

rear is no problem, just the tight gap in the rc35s get in the way.
