Bearings is interesting... One option is to go down the Dr_S route and machine the crank spindle down to accept a more common bearing. My dad has a decent lathe, so that is definitely an goer. Second is to try and source the correct ones... (Yeah, right!)

I've also got a lead on a NOS XC Pro headset, so will need to get my head around how that's supposed to work with the one piece stem...

This afternoon, I decided to start with something easy... Stripped down the RC35's and cleaned and polished them. New elastomers and they are good to go!

What you thinking build wise?

As close to original spec as possible. Will go down the XC-Pro route (Campag would be lovely but...) Original Hydrostops are present but need full refurb as does the Bullseye cranks...

Problem parts will be Stem, early Renthal bars and getting some NOS XC Pro/Mavic 231 rims that don't set me back an absolute fortune!

Obviously, if anyone has any of the above items kicking about... don't hesitate to get in touch!

That sound plausible, offered up an XC Pro wheel (and skewer) and the drive side end of the skewer is extremely snug in the drop out... Research need I think!

The skewers were xc-pro but there were several iterations of RC100 (LE, S, T etc and all had different spec.
