ok, when i took the pace apart i just put all the old bolts in a tub, so can anyone tell me where they go ? are the lime coloured bolts titanium ?
still waiting for the frame to be done from argos.
also i bought an xc pro hub and recently bought a 7 speed casette, only to find out today they are not compatible, is the hub for an 8 speed casette ?
nothing is straight forward with this build.
i thought i would try the cassette on the 36 hole hub i got and it fits,
so my next question is, can the bit that the cassette attaches to, be swapped between hubs ? if it can then problem solved.
I'd be interested in whether the free hub from an 8 speed suntour hub can be swapped on to a 7 speed hub. I've some 7 speed xc pro hubs that I may run 8 speed on, so bought an 8 speed hub to do the swap, but for the life of me can't see how to get the free hub off. I'd be happy to have a go to see if it is possible if anyone can tell me how.
I'll report back once I've done it highlighting problems, pitfalls etc.
