Hello guys im after info on pace monster's!!

infact i know fook all about them but have been offerd a set at what i think is a reasonable price,

So any info about these would be great!

oh and the only other thing i need to know is did they come with the option of normal drop outs or was it 20mm only cheers jay
 
scrap that it turns out after another phone call they are Pace RC37

so need info on these instead cheers jay
 
Hi Jay,
RC37 was the dual crown version of the 1999 Evo2 fork and shares some parts with it.
It is air and coil sprung with an oil damper adjustable for rebound and compression damping.
As with any Pace fork there is always an achilles heel-usually with the RC37 it is a leaky air system as with the Evo2.
They are also notoriously tricky to fit to the bike and it is extremely important to make sure the stanchions are fitted fully into the top crown as the spring tends to push the stanchion out of the socket when the crown bolts are loosened; it is best to leave the top crown bolts tight when fitting.
Check that the stanchions are straight too as they are mostly unavailable now and can be bent by jumping.
Quite rare now though-not many made originally.
