Pace F7 Build

Last year I picked up a nice frame, It's taken me some time to get round to building it, I hope to have it finished in August

Most parts I've picked up 2nd hand from eBay , the rest from chain reaction
the idea is the get it rolling then change / upgrade when neccessary at a later date
Just want to get out on it.....

I kept my old Hope C2 rear from my last bike cos it's just to nice to sell and wanted to use it again
Bough a front one too which should be here anyday now

set of used crossmax wheels complete with tyres
RC 31 forks
RC 46 stem
RC 30 titanium bars
Used hope headset
middleburn RS7 cranks and DMR chainring
NOS flite seat
SRAM rear set, derailleur, chain n shifter

A thing of beauty my friend!!

For me the square tubed Pace bikes are right up there with the most eye catching, iconic bikes ever made.

I am a massive fan and one day will attempt a build like this!!

I dig your choice of rigid forks over suspension here too. Top work mate!!

Re:

small issue on the rear rotor. The aftermarket / home made rear drop out which allows me to fit a 12mm axle has caused some clashing on the caliper and rotor

Never the less a quick call to Hope and they can make me a rotor to the size I want !

excellent

we are getting there

Brakes need refurbing and shimming up, gears need a little adjustment and I've been advised to get a dual tooth front chainring

Re:

Well it's funny what happens on your first test ride !

I got some guy shouting something at me as I'm perusing Somerset house for a book and Eddie King off this forum comes and grabs me for a chat, he showed me a GT he had out the back - Sweet !

Later I settled here for a quick beer !

 Funny what happens while you're working....guy turns up with an absolute knockout Pace that stopped me dead in my tracks...Pleasure to meet you SeikoKid....that is one sweet build you got there

Hi i love this build, i was wondering if the RC 30 bars you have are titanium? ive never seen titanium in those and would love a set if they were produced? could you shed some light on the matter...

cheers.

Re:

Yes. They certainly are titanium, also got Renthal printed on them
To say they don't weigh anything is an understatement. the bar ends are welded shut too

never seen that before in any type of bike or motorbike bar
