I was hoping the more that was posted, the more that could possibly come out of the woodwork.

Some of it requires some digging, and Blind Luck.

This was the point of the thread, how many are still out there, somewhere someone might have one in a shed, garage or even a loft !
Does anybody know the exact number made ?

Hi there,
I came across this thread whilst looking for badges. I posted in another thread yesterday but it looks like this is the Pioneer thread! I bought my Pioneer frame in 1988 or 89. It took about 2 years from ordering to delivery! The bike has been sat in various sheds for over 20 years now, my dad rode it for a while but now I'm sorting it out and have started riding again. I have the Dyfi forest on my doorstep these days which has helped inspire me to get out there again. Anyway here's some pics:

I spec'd it without - it has no rim brake mounts but does have a bracket for the drum brake. I was into drums at the time (don't know why lol) I originally had one from Geoff Apps who built his own bikes in Surrey (I think) and used moped brakes - nice but VERY heavy! Eventuallly I swapped that one for the Sturmey Archer that is on it now.

Yep that's him - just been doing a bit of research and still going I see. Reading a bit of stuff there the reason I got into drums was because I lived in the muddy New Forest!
