Overbury's Pioneer - Built in Bristol works like clockwork !

Re: Overbury's Pioneer - Built in Bristol runs like clockwor

Cheers Adrian, hopefully if I get chance I'll get the paint stripper this week so I can strip the frame back, I've got to contact the painter to book a slot for late March/ early April so it's pushing me to get things ready, how's yours coming along ?

Mine hasn't really progressed at all recently! I just need to get a couple of minor things done to the frame before it goes for painting but finding the time has been a problem lately!

Dropped the frame forks and a box of stems off at the media blasters on the way to work this morning and picked them up on the way home !
They bead blasted it to protect the fillet brazing, I was going to chemically strip it and sand it but they came highly recommended and you can't knock their turnaround time !
I'm loving the fillet look ! shame its going to be painted !

Stems before

and after

I found this in my sons Lego box and thought ...why not !

I'm booking it in for its paint job for the end of March, I now have two painters who's work looks top notch to choose from, so for now the frame will live in the nice warm dry house !
Going to start cleaning and polishing the hubs next, probably this weekend I do love my polishing machine ! :D

I love this thread and the bike too. The bead blasting leaves it looking almost polished.

I've always wanted to do that to a frame. That would be sweet!

I remember seeing a Curtis frame lacquered. It was gorgeous

It might look good with painted on white decals ..... But I think this frame needs to be orange and white again !

But I do like the idea! Better start looking for another one
