When respraying an old frame, does the frame have a better value when done in the orginal colour when new? will having different colour of your choice will kill the value or not?

Alot of people seem to rave about white frames especially Kona's, it seem to be a popular colour with everybody.

thanks

White Konas are only cool if that was their original colour.

That ought to stir things up! :p

To be honest I don`t think it makes any odds. I saw a yo eddy once that was painted with stars and stripes and the guy said he`d been offered top whack for it many times.
The condition of the frame is more important I think.

With a Kona I don't think it matters to be honest ;) unless its a Hot, Hei Hei etc. the frame is never going to be worth much more than about £100 so whatever colour you spray it your never going to recoup the cost of a decent spray job ;)

orginal is best. And if respray then respray the same colour. As near as poss

If it is your pride and joy, paint it whatever colour makes you smile when you see it in the garage. If you are trying to make a profit, make it original.
