I've been tasked with the identification of this titanium framed bike by Clockwork davo, who is busy home schooling his young ones, so he asked me,and i happily obliged.

I will let davo explain how he came by the pictures when he is free.

Please feel free to comment on the following pictures.

Let the trial by retrobike begin.

Well it looks like an early Vit t. 92/93. 17 inch frame. Brocklanders had a similar one but in the 21 inch frame. Nice find that!

On first impressions it does, especially with the decals, but the rear stays are not from a Vitamin T.

The rear stay looks more like a t2 (on the right) compared to the Vitamin t on the left.

So the bike/pics for ID came to me from a chap (Ian) I was chatting to some time ago via Facebook regarding an Aluminium O, turns out the ally O was gonna be to small..

But anyway this little beast has landed on his workbench this week and he’s after on info we can shed on it as a collective

So any thoughts would be appreciated

Massive thanks to emjay for kicking the tread off ;)

Re:

I’m not claiming to be the biggest expert, I have owned a T2 though.
The monostays are T2 shape but the riveted top tube cable guides, style of rear canti hanger and although I can’t see closely, the dropouts look different to Oranges I’ve seen.
I’d treat carefully.

I thought the same.

Re:

Defo mk1 decals but the seat stays are wrong. Don't think it's a Orange personally, not like any I have seen unless it's a prototype but even then it's a long way from a T2.

Re:

Looking at the drop outs I reckon it's a cheap frame. My mk1 was lovely and all the little details done to a high standard. That looks budget for titanium to me.

Possibly the final nail in the coffin.

unless it is a prototype!
