Orange P7 1999(?) For Sale - SOLD

Annoyed Wombat

Retro Newbie
Update - This is sold.

Update again.

Since I first posted, the chain and rear mech got jammed and bent, so the bike needs work. However, apart from that and the original comments below, I'm sure this might be useful to someone and is now FREE to anyone who wants to collect it. A small donation to a charity of your choice would be good though.

Original text:

I've had this Orange P7 since new and the Local Bike Shop suggested that RetroBike members may be interested in it. I think it's a 1999 bike, but can't be sure. Much has been changed since new, but the frame (17" ?), brakes, shifters and mechs are original. The right hand shifter is on its way out, but still functions just about well enough to ride. Any questions about the bike / components etc, please ask. I can provide further pictures if needed.

Re: Orange P7 1999(?) For Sale

With the assistance of a youtube "How to Measure a bike frame" video guide, centre of crank to top of seat tube is 17".

Re: Orange P7 1999(?) For Sale

Lovely bike, that's not a 15, I've got a 17inch P7 and it looks smaller than your, I would say yours is an 18 or 19 inch.

Good luck with the sale

Hopper.

Re: Orange P7 1999(?) For Sale

Thanks. I measured the centre of the crank to the top of the tube and it's 17". The original forks (Manitou I think) had 3" of travel whereas the replacement bombers have 4". This has altered the geometry of the bike a bit and that may account for it looking slightly bigger.

I don't really know how much it is worth and will accept a reasonable offer. To be frank, it's taking up space in the garage which I could do with back.
