Forgive my lack of faith in fellow enthusiasts but this has a whiff about it!

agreed, almost unbelievable! OP just may aswell say "hey everybody, im committing insurance fraud"!!

... not one to assume

Re:

Why would the OP draw attention to it by creating a 'stolen' post? If it was a case of insurance fraud, you wouldn't be trying to get a bike back that isn't in fact missing. The insurance company would require a police crime number, not proof that you've sought the help of the retrobike community. That would be really daft, so it just seems the OP has been unlucky. Possibly theft is quite common in his neck of the woods, and that's why he was keen to get insurance sorted out.

thanks yea. I read this and cried. I miss my little white bike it was the only thing keeping me sane as I'm staying at friends in a extremely chaotic environment while fighting for my rights having been through dv and and an illiagal eviction why would I be upset..i didn't get it insured in time. I'm disabled and will never afford one..:-(
