Both suspension corrected.. My 1999 clockwork seems heavy.. I'm convienced its made of plain gauge lead. I'm looking forward to seeing how much it weighs when its built up! Hopefully the frame on its own is just misleading me!

Really?
I was surprised at how light the frame felt when I got mine and that was comparing it to an E4 frame.

The late 90's frames ride really nicely. Mine feels quicker and 'lighter' to ride than my E4. They're a whippy ride and the F7/F8 forks track really well. Not sure what the uni-crowns are like, I've never tried a pair.

and, yeah, they're suspension corrected but you'll struggle with travel over 65-70mm.

a touch over 5lbs stripped with just the headset cups in, either that or my bathroom scales are rubbish.. which they probably are!

cool.

I like small frames, and Im not exactly tall, but I stand well over my 15.5" Salsa, so I think a 12" frame may just be a little bit too 'chuckable' Im going to get some 80mm forks on it, the font end will come up a bit I know, but hey, it'll have a shortish stem, all I need to find now is a 400mm layback seatpost in a 29.6 flavour - eek!

Cheers for your help Orange people, ill put up a few pics when its done (even though it will be a late 90's PBS SS, its still an Orange right?)

Bl@@dy Hell!

That sounds heavy, I reckon your scales are out by a BIT. Mind you, bathroom scales aren't going to be accurate at that low a weight.

Either that or you could have headset cups made from material from a blackhole. :D

Kitchen scales are generally much more accurate than bathroom, and you can easily get a frame on them (if nobody is watching).

Steel headset cups generally weigh c70g or 0.15lb.

I weighed it by weighing myself and then me plus frame.. Hmm i'll get it on the kitchen scales tonight.
I seem to be able to get away with anything at the moment, was repsraying a Gringo last night in my front room, black, then discovered now everything is a bit black in my front room.. including my girlfriends snot.. :D
