hi guys im building a orange evo 4 limited edition and struggling to find the right size headset

two big the headset goes tight when i nip it all up

the neck on the frame is alot narrower then moden bikes

no its got a kids carrera one init tried various rings on falks just keeps going tight ive seen one in halfords threadless with the bearings separate do ya think its worth trying???

Sounds like the headset cups are already fitted & you're trying to find the internal bits? If that's the case probably best to replace the whole lot. It will be 1 1/8" though

If not maybe post a pic to confirm what you have.
