Retro Newbie
I have recenly started Mountain Biking and was looking for a bike. After toying with buying a new bike i decided to go down the used route and found and bought an Orange Clockwork.

Can anyone help with the specifications and age of the bike and if is it going to be possible to replace the parts with like for like? Also If you have any suggestions for parts etc for this model l would like to know.

Welcome to the forum,
Looks like a 98/99 model to me, although I could be wrong. Looks in good condition, I would keep it as it is and enjoy! Could do with some amber wall tyres though.

Thanks for the welcome. As i am new to MTBiking could you tell me where would i be best to source decent parts for it.

I also have been riding quie a few hills and tend to get off the saddle to do so. Would i benefit from bar ends. If so any recommendations?

Thanks.

Hi orange33.

I love your Clockwork :!:

I had one in that bright orange colour bought new in 1994.
I loved it and thrashed it and it lasted a long time.
Here's my current Clockwork:

You should be able to get any parts you might want in this site's classified ads. The LX groupset on yours looks just right though so unless something is broken i'd see no need to change anything.
I've now got Pace RC35 forks on my Clockwork and they suit the bike well if you want some bouncy forks.
