Yeah - could be. I went a little shorter on the stem to avoid being too stretched out. Will see when I get riding. Not long now!

Thanks - what's the issue you forsee with the shifter / derailleur pairing?
It's a road shifter with MTB derailleur.
7/8/9 speed road and mtb are interchangeable.
10 speed road went on to use the same cable pull as before so you can use a 10 speed road shifter to move a 9speed mtb mech over 10 cogs. Or a road 10 speed mech with 9speed mtb shifter and 9 cogs.
10 speed mtb changed to a longer "dyna sys" cable pull. They kept this difference for 11 and 12.
That looks like a 10 or 11 speed deore mech and a road shifter. It's not going to work without some mods.
If your shifters and cassette are 10 speed:

Or a 9 speed MTB mech (possibly need a goatlink type extender to reach the big cog if its bigger than a 36)
