I offered 350 but he has come back with 400. I think 350 is top money, that's why I am still procrastinating about it

Why not build your own up?.Probably cost loads more, but loads more fun :D

If you are prepared to wait long eniugh, then another one is likely to pop up in the right size and condition unless exceptionally rare.

The difference in price is the cost of a tank of petrol which after you have used up, you still end up in the same placer i.e. home with nothing to show for it.

Start haggling. In 5 years time the 50 quid will seem insignificant.

As you are aware, there is another, same size, different forks, purple cage and less purple stuff for £ 345.

Work out how much itll cost you to get it up to spec, or use it as a lever for bargaining.

Search ebay for sold to get idea of price. Your £ 400 seems more realistic.

A quick search the ONE is 250 more than the others, plus it is relisted, presumably the buyer had second thoughrs, i.e. way too much.

Ps fellow retrobikers coukd submit lower offers to make yours look more attractive.... sneaky i know.

A nate has offered me an XLM frame so I might put the money towards building that instead.

The one for £345 seems pricey too and has not sold yet.

Its a waiting game. If he wants to sell, then he needs to wait hoping a buyer offers the right price or else lower the price.

I will just hang on and see if it sells, if not I will offer £350 again, the closer we get to christmas the more the price may drop, I am not desperate for a bike, I currenly have about 8 in the house, but its just so shiny

I missed out on the Kona, but I have found something else, a Pace RC200, always wanted one as a young teen, but now pushing 40, I have a little more disposable income to play with so, as far as I am concerned the RC200 was the holy grail, along with the merlin titanium.

So for now, happy
