One of a kind Lee Cooper E-stay

Nice choices!!! I'd also consider SS5's vs. SS7's. Good luck on the Suntour hunt!!! šŸ¤ž

I LOVE a roller cam!!! šŸ‘Œ
Got SS5s and some black 986s on a yellow Dave Yates so thought I might go with SS7s and a single set of 987s on this one.

It is just possible that I may have acquired a second rollercam - who knew they were so common ;-) - so may have to find another U-brake frame (and even more Suntour)...

But as grandma said... don't let your eyes be bigger than your stomach

Thatā€™s a mad frame, canā€™t want to see it built up

2. I seem to have acquired a nice Suntour Rollercam brake

Donā€™t think that will ever work in this frame. Rollercams need a lot more room at the top and they need a central cable pull. This one looks like itā€™s U brake only unfortunately

Well noticed Pete! I got excited at the mention of a roller cam and couldn't see the seat tube in the way for the images of a roller cam in my mind!

Yes long straddle around the seat tube? Might even need a GT style cross-over guide to prevent straddle cable rub against the seat tube perhaps? My Titan 1/2 Trac has something very similar due to U brake/weird/awkward cable routing.

Dia-Compe do a U-brake though...
