One for Scant- FAT paint codes?

Dr S

Old School Grand Master
I'm hoping that someone can help with FAT paint codes. Just 3 days after selling my Yo I have decided I need another but I would like one in either Grellow or that nice Metalic green fade. Does anyone know what the paint codes are?
As ever I'm most gratefull for help on this one!

do a search on fatcogs, its been discussed a lot before. the metallic green would be a lot easier to reproduce than grellow (which is roughly 2parts flourescent green, 1 part flourescent yellow & light overspray in metallic red)

I'm guessing you've got a donor frame to respray? i'm undecided on keeping my team violet ml yo eddy...

Cheers Mike, i'm hoping to do a deal on another s/m Yo today- yours would be too big for me I think.
Grellow sounds like a challenge but not as hard as the sea and sky Attitude- my next paint project!
Thanks for the help, have been meaning to go on Fat cogs for a while. Now I have the perfect excuse ;D

Dr. S,

The Grello is actually a mixture of Fluro Green and Yellow powders from Radiance Inc. of California that are mixed with clear and sprayed over a white base.

The powders, unfortunately, have not been made for a number of years.

Grello has been sucessfully reproduced, though I would only recommend it for full restos as color matching 20 year old paint with UV degredation of the fluro pigments is a bit tough.

Perhaps it was a bit too early in the morning for Mike, but the red he is referring to is part of the top coat of the Team Violet (assuming a bit, but pretty sure that is what he was thinking)

cheers,

rody

Thanks Rody, sounds like the application is the easy part- getting the correct shade will be the tricky part. I don't have a grellow frame to match at the moment, I'm trying to buy another Aquafade Yo as a donor.
Another option is to send it to you with a blank cheque and let you do something amazing with it and just blow us all away!
Cheers
Si

hahaha, more likely too early a morning! 5am my nipper thinks its time to play

maybes its just me? but every new era respray I can tell a mile away, they never look quite right. the only resprays/powdercoat that are totally convincing IMHO are yeti turquoise powder coat.

I'd go for a more modern take, the slightly older audi s4 blue looks good

billinjah, i'm in the mood for a clear out. i'll let you know ;)
