Yes you are correct - it was a DA 7700 - you can see the right 9-speed ST-7700 shifter here on Alex's bike from TdF 1996

... that avoids an expensive mistake - so I have to look for a Shimano DA 7700 series instead of a DA 7410

build with components of 9-speed Shimano DURA ACE 7700, 3ttt Cockpit consist of a 3ttt Protitanium stem and a 3ttt TDF, Look's Ergopost and a Selle San Marco no-slipstream saddle and finally 1 pair of a MAVIC GP4 wheels with Vittoria Corsa EVO SC 23-622

- here a pic of the finished Replika of the 1996 TdF Teambike (incl. left SLR brakelever and downtube shifter for front derailleur)

Black anodized. But on every pics i found, they got mavic prototype (of hélium ?) hub and Grey anodized gp4.
Mine is number 50 and I also have a question : which handlebar is the best period correct : 3ttt due ergopower tdf or 3ttt prima 220 tdf ?
