I agree it is a waste of a frame that some one could use and enjoy, but in a sick sort of a way there will be more people getting enjoyment from its short life and prolonged death than if it were just owned and ridden by one person.

To me, greater sacriledge is taking a genuine Yo and chopping it up to alter the geometry, adding disc mounts, altering BOI forks etc. Surely buying an IF would have given the same (better?) result and not have destroyed a classic frameset. But that's just my view.

It hasn't been chopped up to alter geometry and the BOI only got a disc mount added in the end. An IF is an IF not a Fat. As for destroying a classic frameset, that is your opinion (which I fully respect). I see it differently, I saved a rusted out frame that was destined for a life hanging from a wall. If you looked at the bike and rode it you would hopefully see that the mods have been done sympathetically to enhance the enjoyment of a classic frame.
Discs are not a crime Ed and think of the vintage rims that will now be spared a short life being ground away to nothing in the Northumbrian sandstone mud
