All of these fires have come about from cheap imported ebikes and batteries/chargers, and were mostly left overnight to charge.
This is the same with mobile fires, Ecig fires, where its down to cheap fakes that dont turn off after getting to the full charge.
The ebig bikes companies doing ebikes spend a lot of investment in quality batteries and chargers. Its the cheap fake stuff thats causing all these fires.
I've a pile of power tools. Mostly bosch, makita, and as yet in the 15 years ive been using them, from ni cad to nickle metal to lithium I'd yet to have a problem. Reason - all are quality made.
